Sumatra Mandheling - PREMIUM, 12 oz. Bag

Blind Assessment (CoffeeReview.com):

Intensely and sweetly roasty. Baker's chocolate, scorched cedar, hints of apple and grapefruit in aroma and cup. Lightly syrupy, plump mouthfeel. The finish is drying but richly chocolate-toned. Premium. “not eligible for coupon code discounts”

Description Coffees from the northern part of the Indonesian island of Sumatra are valued for their complex earth and fruit notes that appear to result largely from unorthodox fruit removal and drying practices called wet hulling.

Single Origin Coffee
As the name suggests, it means that a coffee has originated from a specific location or region. In some cases, a single origin can be from a single small farm or micro-lot consisting of no more than a couple hundred trees. For a coffee roaster, Single Origin coffees are the gems, the Kobe beef, the all-star, the Monet, of coffees. Their nuances are more pronounced and the flavor profiles are more complex.

For a coffee lover, such as yourself, a Single Origin coffee is a promise of something unique. The experience of drinking a Single Origin coffee is a journey and exploration of a different part of the world. Do you want to travel to Kenya in the Kirinyago District, or how about the Blue Mountain region in Jamaica? Single Origin coffee. Through a Single Origin cup of coffee you will develop an appreciation for the artistry needed to grow a truly unique coffee.

The taste was not what I had expected, especially for the price.Review by Dorothy

It was like the regular tasting of a Dark Roast. I was very unhappy. Not as tasty or aromatic of the Sumatra that I have had in the past. Again it was a regular or Dark Roast, actually, I think a Dark Roast would have been better. For the price, not again for me. Thank you. (Posted on 12/19/2017)

This is my son's favorite coffee and I always have a batch of cold brewed Kona when he visits. We both use the OXO cold brewing system and love the smooth coffee concentrate without the acid. (Posted on 8/27/2016)

This is so very good tasting. Smooth, not bitter, but very flavorful. It is a unique special treat for my husband and me who like dark roasted coffee.96841 (Posted on 3/21/2016)
