Tea filters are great!Review by Cheryl

If you aren't a tea ball filter user, there are a number of other products you can use.
Melitta Unfiltered Tea Filters offer an alternative option. Having tried almost all the tea filters on the market, here are the advantages of using a paper tea filter:

1) You can fill it any way you like - mix and match teas, use a little tea, use a lot.
2) By using unbleached tea filters, you are not dunking bleach from bleached filters into your coffee and the environment
3) Easy-peasy clean up. Fill them up, dunk them, toss them for garbage where they will turn into compost.
4) As mentioned for the coffee filter review, Melitta pays special attention to their crimping of edges. If you order the mass market tea paper filters, they are cheap, and a number of them will seperate at the seams BEFORE you dunk your tea filter, having you use two or even three filters for that desired cup of coffee. This isn't the case with Melitta brand product filters. They are strong, and meant to last, regardless of the quantity of tea you pour into the little packets. Unless you are really rough (or are really agressive about getting to your tea in the morning) the edges will hold up well from seperation of the papers and filling of tea.
5) I use them to carry spices for lunches or travelling. Depending on what I am using them for, I dunk all the spices into the pot, dunk the spices and than simmer the bag or a variety of options.
6) I carry my own tea in my purse. I fill them, lay them flat, and than they fit into my wallet, which makes my purse smell wonderful.
7) I tuck little gifts into presents which need seperation or protection before adding to packages.
8) These are awesome for re-enactors, as you can fill a whole spice kit or coffee/tea for those on site mornings and still look authentic. I presented a 30 spice kit to a Civil War reneactor using these and he was the envy of his troop all weekend.
9) I used these for a small carry all for stickers for my daughter. Just filled the little packet and she was so happy for a small distraction at a restaurant.
10) Can be used for coffee too, in a pinch.
11) Can be used to clean your eyeglasses too.

Lots of uses, and these are easy to store. Great product, well deserving of the 5 stars. (Posted on 2/16/2017)
