Announcing Changes to our Shipping &
Discounts Policy
Effective Thursday, April 9th, 2009 at 9am PST
Well, after many years of our "Free Shipping $30 or More" policy,
we've found that our costs for shipping and raw materials have risen too much to
continue offering free shipping at that level. In fact, over the last 5 years
our shipping costs have doubled. But we still want to offer free shipping - a
feature that we here at the Rogers Family Company appreciate when we shop
online. So, effective 9am, Thursday, April 9th, we've implemented the
changes outlined below.
Changes to Free Shipping Policy
We know economic times are tough right now. So to maintain a win-win situation
for both our customers and our family-run company, we've chosen to keep prices
steady, but decrease our per pound shipping costs which occurs when we ship
higher volume shipments. The result (shown below) is a new standard website
free/discounted shipping policy for continental US locations. Typically, simply
adding one or two additional bags to your order will result in continued free
shipping or a shipping discount. The free/discounted method is calculated after
coupons or discounts.
- Up to $29.99 - Live Standard UPS Rates
- $30-$49.99 - $5.99 flat rate for UPS Ground
- $50 or more - Free Shipping for UPS Ground
Changes to High-Dollar-Value Discounts
We've also changed our high dollar value discount thresholds and converting them
to coupon codes rather than automatic discounts. With this, we hope to
encourage higher order totals that should also offset our very high shipping costs.
- 5% off $90 with coupon code 5HDV
- 10% off $135 with coupon code 10HDV
- 15% off $175 with coupon code 15HDV
We continue to offer
loyalty points and you may also want to
consider joining our Java Perks Coffee Club to save 10% on each order. Please note
that you can redeem the high dollar value discounts coupon during checkout when
you're setting up a club order
as well. The discount will be taken with each subsequent order.
Special Note to Current Coffee Club Members
Our customer service team will be entering the high dollar value coupon code for you IF your current, recurring club order subtotal meets any of those new thresholds. So you will not have to edit your recurring order to automatically receive these discounts. However, if you want to raise your order total to get free shipping or to take advantage of any of these new discounts, you'll need to edit your club order, add products or quantity, and/or add a coupon code.
